Scientific Assistant / Ph.D. Student: Life Science Informatics : Bonn, Germany


The Department of Life Science Informatics, B-IT, University of Bonn, currently has the following opening:
Description : Beginning May 1, 2012, we have an opening for a motivated Ph.D. student in the area of Computational SAR Analysis involving the development and application of numerical and graphical SAR analysis methods. This position is financed through a collaborative project with the pharmaceutical industry. The position is initially available for one year and can be extended for up to three years.
Qualification : Candidates should have a Masters (or equivalent) degree in computer science, computational chemistry, chemoinformatics, bioinformatics, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or the life sciences, interest in interdisciplinary research, good command of the English language and scripting/programming skills (e.g. Perl, Python, Java, Processing etc).
